The Graphics Technology program is designed for students who wish to pursue the dynamic, rapidly-evolving career fields of graphic arts or print production. Possessing the ability and know-how of the processes and technologies within the graphics industry will open the door for students to potentially discover careers in the areas of marketing and sales. Additionally, many career opportunities in print production and graphic layout exist as organizations and business search for qualified people to assist in the creation of professional-quality in-house newsletters, brochures, color catalogues, and magazines. Graphics Technology students will be encouraged to utilize their individual creativity and personality to tailor graphic design and layout projects, while working collectively with classmates to complete both small and large-scale print production assignments. This program will allow students to work with the most up-to-date Adobe software applications, such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver.
Successful graduates of this program can enjoy careers in areas such as desktop publishing, web design, technical writing, video production, 3D animation, video editing, graphic design, copy writing, special effects, and print production. Students will be prepared to enter the workforce and begin careers with major print production businesses and publication distributors. Graduates should consider continuing their education at a four-year college or university. Graphics Technology will prepare students for several college majors including graphic design, computer science, web design, and digital manipulation. Students who successfully complete the program may be eligible for an apprenticeship opportunity.

- The class collectively completes graphic design and print production work orders received from within the school as well as the Salem County community
