FAFSA Information
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA )can be filed in paper form or on-line on or after January 1, 2012. If you plan to file on-line, which is the suggested, easiest and fastest method, you and your child will need a separate PIN (Personal Identification Number) which serves as an electronic signature for your son and/or daughter and yourself. It is best to apply now for the PINs by going to www.pin.ed.gov. The new electronic FAFSA will become available on January 1, 2012.
The Higher Education student Assistance Authority (HESAA) provides financial aid resources and information to students and their parents.
Collegeboard
Collegeboard.org provides assistance for college searches, testing information and college planning. The site contains resources for students, parents and educators. This is also where students register to take the SAT.
