SCVTS Names Eric Krise Electrical Business Partner of the Year

Eric M. Krise is a former Salem County Vocational Technical School high school graduate who learned the electrical trade in high school and went on to own multiple businesses. Eric M. Krise Electrical Contractors LLC located in Elmer NJ, employs over 80 employees and maintains a fleet of electrical service vehicles.  Additionally, he offers plumbing, heating and cooling services and specializes in residential, industrial, and commercial work, which services the tri-county area for NJ, DE, and PA. Along with his wife Stephanie, Eric operates an impressive electrical training and apprenticeship school the SJ Electrical Training & Apprenticeship LLC located in Elmer NJ.  Eric strongly supports education and training both within his own electrical and HVAC businesses and the Salem County Vocational Technical School District.

Eric Krise is a strong and faithful member of the Electrical Technology Program Advisory Committee.  He has employed numerous graduates of the Electrical Technology program as well as many current students enrolled in the cooperative education program.

In the spring of 2020, Salem County Vocational Technical School opened a new Introduction to Basic Electrical Technology post-secondary program for the adult students in Salem County. When Eric was contacted regarding the opening of this program, he readily offered his support for the students and expertise advice. He met with the administration at SCVTS and offered the use of his facility at SJ Training & Apprenticeship LLC, as an integral part of the program and sponsored the training of new SCVTS electrical trade instructors for the implementation of NCCER Construction Core and Electrical curriculum.  He also offered an important link to employment within his company by offering 120 hour electrical assistant externships to students upon meeting successful graduation requirements of an Introduction to Basic Electrical Technology SCVTS post-secondary program. Eric further dedicated his time to engage in multiple conversations that supported the career pathway approach to apprenticeships and advanced college credits toward degrees that specialize in energy, electrical science, and engineering at Salem Community College.

Eric’s passion toward the electrical and construction trade industry and his willingness to support and educate others define Eric M. Krise, as the Salem County Vocational Technical School District Business Partner of the Year in 2020.

Without business partners like Eric M. Krise who dedicate their time and energy to supporting our students, valuable educational programs offered in high school and post-secondary education would not be made possible.

SCVTS recognizes and appreciates the talent and dedication of Eric Krise and we congratulate him on this honor.
