WELDING TECHNOLOGY

• The Welding Technology program is among the school’s most popular offerings, with full enrollment guaranteed almost every year.
• Students develop skills in a variety of areas such as: shielded metal arc, tungsten inert gas (TIG), metal inert gas (MIG), and oxy-fuel welding techniques.
• Through the use of blueprints and development of layout procedures, students also learn to make multi-positional, high quality welds on a variety of metals.
• Active participation in American Welding Society (AWS) events and SkillsUSA competitions.
• SCVTS has direct employment partnerships with M. Davis & Sons, Inc. in Wilmington, Del. and William A. Schmidt & Sons, Inc. in Chester, Pa. among others.
